As a result, the price of gold has fallen by Rs 15 per gram, now priced at Rs 7,370 per gram. In Chennai, the gold price dropped by Rs 120 per sovereign on Saturday, with the yellow metal being sold for Rs 58,960 per sovereign.

In the city, gold is priced at Rs 58,960 per sovereign. Consequently, the gold price has decreased by Rs 15 per gram, now standing at Rs 7,370 per gram. Meanwhile, silver prices have remained steady at Re 1 per gram, with a total cost of Rs 106 per gram. Earlier, the price of one sovereign of gold exceeded Rs 57,000 on October 17, reaching over Rs 58,000 just three days later on October 19.
