A train has derailed at Madurai railway station, but no casualties have been reported.

Railway department officials are actively working to repair the derailed train, according to reports.

On Thursday, a train traveling from Chennai to Madurai derailed at Madurai railway station. Reports from Thanthi TV indicate that one of the train’s wheels slipped off the track, leading to the derailment. Railway officials are currently working diligently to repair the train.

Fortunately, since today is Deepavali, the number of passengers was low, helping to prevent any mishaps. The incident occurred when one wheel of the Second Class, Luggage, Guard cum Physically Challenged (LSLRD) coach, located next to the engine of Train No. 20601 Chennai Central – Bodinayakkanur Express, derailed while the train was shunting as it was leaving from Platform No. 5 toward Bodinayakkanur.
