The student presented a scorecard indicating he had scored 698 marks in the 2023 NEET exam, but his actual score was only 129.
A Class 12 student and his parents were handed over to Kilpauk police after they presented a fake NEET scorecard at the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University office on Tuesday. The scorecard claimed the student had achieved 698 marks in the 2023 NEET exam, while his actual score was just 129.
Police reported that the student attended a private school in Medavakkam and lived with his parents in Royal Garden, Medavakkam. They approached the university office to inquire about the lack of admission to Madras Medical College (MMC). During the verification process, officials discovered the scorecard was fraudulent and alerted the police.
Following a complaint from Dr. Karamath, the Deputy Director of Medical Education, Kilpauk police filed a case against the student and two other individuals who allegedly created the fake document, both of whom are currently on the run.
