Say it with cards

February 14 is Valentine’s Day and time for greeting cards.

One would think that greeting cards have been replaced with e-cards. But no, this is not apparently true. Adyar Archies is a living example for this. Archies is known for its variety of cards to make V-Day special and unforgettable.

The youngsters who throng its outlets feel happy and satisfied with the collection as they get whatever they planned to get for their loved one. Youngsters still prefer a greeting card to e-card as a greeting card is something that can be treasured always.

Even though there are two outlets of Archies in Adyar, both attract youngsters by the dozen on normal days and more so during special occasions. Though Archies has nothing new for Valentine’s Day, it has made sure that each and every item and greeting card is exclusive and exceeds the customer's expectations.

They also make sure that there is an exclusive collection of watches as most of the women customers prefer it. As for men, there is a wide collection of teddy bears, photo frames and other tempting gifts.

It’s not only youngsters who enjoy these collections but also parents who visit these outlets with their children.

When asked about sales on the occasion of Valentine’s Day comes the reply that it’s better than on normal days and the profit is high during these weeks.

A. Dinesh, manager of Archies shop, feels that most of the youngsters prefer greeting cards to teddy bears, perfumes and watches. For this reason, greeting cards are sold starting from Rs 45 and go up to Rs 1,500.

Pricey? Not really - Especially when you want to share your innermost feelings with your lover. February 14 is not the day to count your money but your blessings.
