  • Shankar Jaikishan :The project of making people with disabilities ride KTM's is Shankar's brainchild. He works for the Indian Railways in his 9 to 5 job. At all other times, he customizes cars for people with disabilities (PWD). His company "Shreevari Engineering Works" headed by Mrs Jaikishan, is exclusively dedicated to providing mobility solutions for the PWD community. Shankar started off 3 decades ago, trying to assist his friend with a disability, modify his geared motorcycle for his mobility needs. His journey since then has enabled him to retrofit more than 800 cars mostly in Tamilnadu and a few across India. From retrofitting a Tata Nano to a Mercedez Benz, everything is custom fit to the requirement of the disabled user with no two provisions being exactly the same. His motivation and planning led to the rise of KTM bikers in the PWD community.
  •  Veeramallu M :Veeramallu was born without any disabilities and lead a healthy life with a successful career. Tragedy struck Veeramallu in his early 20's when he worked overseas in the civil sector. Since then, Veeramallu hailing from a financially challenged background has re-invented himself as an IT professional with a successful career. Veeramallu drives a retrofitted car and makes regular cross-country trips with his wife and daughter. Of course, with the KTM he now snips through peak hour Chennai traffic like a Ninja. He can regularly be spotted loitering around in his KTM with his fellow riders in the nook and corners of Chennai city.
  • Dilip Muralidaran : Dilip was born with a case of Cerebral Palsy. In his mid 20's he also discovered that he had dislocated his right hip, which is a noted condition in people with bad gait. Dilip used to ride a 2 stroke scooter and eventually a 4 stroke scooter and has put 2,50,000+ km between both these machines. His acquaintance and friendship with Shankar would lead him to drive a Honda city and eventually, a KTM. Dilip works in IT as an instructor, and regularly travels the globe for work. If he is not spending his hard earned money on duty-free shopping and camera gear, he would be caught spending it on motorcycling gear.
