Jiva Ayurveda successfully treats cases of Osteoarthritis

Ayurvedacharya Dr Partap Chauhan, Director Jiva Ayurveda says,” Cold, dust, pollen, dander, certain foods and environmental factors can cause an imbalance in Kaphadosha and lead to respiratory disorders. During year-end when farmers in adjoining area burn fields and the overhanging smog caused by festival crackers lead to an increase in incidences of these diseases. Although we are speaking strictly about pollution related disorders here, but it is worth noting that heredity is also a major factor. Scientific research shows that risk of developing allergies increases by approximately 30% if one parent is allergic, and the risk becomes greater than 60% if both parents have a history of respiratory.

At Jiva Medical and Research Centre, more than 8000 patients receive free advice on different diseases every single day. Some of the most common home remedies for respiratory disorders are:

  • Mix one fourth teaspoon of ginger powder with ½ tsp of turmeric powder and add honey to make paste. Take twice a day.
  • Boil 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder in 1 cup of water. Simmer until it is half the volume, strain, add honey and drink warm.
  • Dry roast 3-4 black raisins and add pinch of black pepper and rock salt to it. Have this 2-3 times a day for 15-20 days.
  • Take 10-12 washed, crushed basil leaves and 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh ginger. Fry in a pan over low heat until the ginger has browned. Add 1 cup of water and boil for several minutes. Strain, add 1 tbsp of honey and drink.
  • Chew a bud of clove or two cardamoms or a few raisins for relief from sore throat.
  • Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric powder and ginger powder. Take 1 teaspoon in the morning and evening with warm water.
