CSIA AWARDED FOR ITS INNOVATIVE APPROACH

 Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has been adjudged as the second runner-up in “rBeakthrough level kaizen” category at the prestigious CII TPM Kaizen Awards 2018.

 

 MIAL presented the breakthrough Kaizen - Reduction technology in flushing water usage quantity (urinals) by enzymatic & biological cleaning, which has led to an estimated saving of 324KL water every day and eliminating need for auto janitor fragrance sprays.  Breakthrough kaizen is evaluated based on the guidelines – “necessity understanding, uniqueness, simplicity 

 

Kaizen Conference has emerged as a well-known unique platform for Indian industries to showcase their innovative ideas in field of manufacturing improvements. This conference focuses and shares the information about best practices, innovative ideas, zero defect and zero accident philosophy, issues countered by companies on TPM journey and their practical solutions implemented by them.

 

Having already won several prestigious awards over the past two years for structure, design and world-class facilities and services, the CII TPM Kaizen Award is the latest feather in CSIA’s cap.

 

Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has been recently rated the World’s Best Airport for the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards 2017 for customer experience, announced today by the Airports Council International (ACI).  Additionally, the Mumbai Airport also bagged top award for the 'Best Airport Staff Service' at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2017. The airport was also awarded third in the top five Most Improved Airports in 2015 and as the Best Airport in 2016 in India & Central Asia by Skytrax.
