OnePlus community gather in throngs at the OnePlus 6 pop-up store

: Following the much-awaited global launch of the OnePlus 6, the premium Android smartphone maker offered its fans an opportunity to experience and purchase the latest flagship device at a two-day pop-up store at Forum Vijaya, Arcot Road. The first buyer, Gaurav Kadnurrao, got a chance to unbox the device with popular celebrity actress Nikki Galrani at the Unbox Zone.  


The highly-anticipated pop-up store opened to an excited gathering of hundreds of fans to become the first ones to own the phone as the devices were available for purchase only on a first-come-first serve basis. Everyone who bought the phone also received exclusive add-ons and OnePlus goodies.


Commenting on the occasion, “The response to our pop-up stores has always been phenomenal with hundreds of fans turning up to get their hands on and experience each new device. OnePlus is the only smartphone brand to have pop-up stores globally. It gives our community a chance to connect and interact with the OnePlus team and enables us as a brand, to understand their expectations better”, said Vikas Agarwal, General Manager at OnePlus India.


OnePlus has been connecting with its fan base globally via these pop-up stores since the launch of OnePlus 2. The pop-up events will be held simultaneously across cities on May 21 and May 22 and across cities worldwide, including New York, San Francisco, London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Beijing, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad and several others.


The phone, the first in OnePlus' line of flagships to feature an all-glass design – is the company's most sophisticated handset to date. The phone is equipped with 6.28” Full Optic AMOLED Display with 19:9 aspect ratio, and Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 845 to deliver immersive viewing experience and smooth performance. It is available in the following variants.


The Mirror Black model was available for offline sale at the pop-up with both options of 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, as well as, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The Midnight Black variant was available only in 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The 6 GB/64 GB model will retail at INR 34,999 and the 8 GB/128 GB model will retail at INR 39,999.
