Thoroughly &Completely and abide by the same.

Those who do not adhere to the Norms of the Event will not be entertained.

 

 

*TRADITIONAL ATTIRE (Dress Code of the Foundation mentioned below) is compulsory for all Participants, Parents, Children & *Rasikas during REGISTRATION, COMPETITIONS AND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION.

 

*TRADITIONAL ATTIRE (Dress Code of the Foundation)

 

(Participants, Parents, Children & *Rasikas - Guests / Invitees / Relatives / Friends / Public)

Boys: Kurtha, Pyjama (No Fancy Pants, Jeans, Cargos, T. Shirt)

Girls: upto 13 years – Paavaadai, Chokka. 14 years & above – Paavaadai, Chokka, Dhaavani, Saree.

Men: – Kurtha, Pyjama, Dhoti, Pant, Shirt (No Fancy Jeans, Cargos, T. Shirt)

Women: – Only in Saree. (No Sleeveless Chokka / Blouse for Girls & Women)

Common for all Girls - Hair Style: Single Plait (No lose hair). No Fancy Bindhis.

Pottu – Only in Red Colour / Min. Size: 8mm Round or Thilakam.

Parents & Participants must come in person, strictly adhering to *Traditional Attire  (Dress Code of the Foundation mentioned above) during Registration, Competitions and Prize Distribution Function.

A PARTICIPANT MUST TAKE PART IN MINIMUM OF 2 COMPETITIONS (COMPULSORY) excluding Participation Segment & Special Event.

 

ONCE REGISTERED FOR A COMPETITION, IT WILL NOT BE CHANGED / ALTERED / CANCELLED.

 

A Registration Fee of Rs. 100/- is charged for each Competition / Participation Segment / Special Event.

Plus Rs. 100/- towards 2 Photos (Solo & Group) - Mandatory for each Participant, taken by the Foundation during Prize Distribution Function.

Photograph will be posted on Our Blog / Facebook. Hard Copy will not be given.


Photography / Videography – Camera / Handycam by the Parents &Rasikas are strictly prohibited inside the Auditorium, during Competitions & Prize Distribution.

 

Competition Dates: 23rd April to 1st May, 2017. (Subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances)

Prize Distribution Function: Saturday, 24th June, 2017.

Kids Section: – Pre.KG, LKG.

 

All Levels:-

Sub. Junior: – Sec. A – UKG, I Std. & Sec. B – II, III Std.

Junior: – Sec. A – IV, V Std. & Sec. B – VI, VII Std.

Senior: – Sec. A – VIII, IX, X Std. & Sec. B – XI to UG.

 

The nature of the Festival is of Two Categories – Competition & Participation.

 

Solo Competitions

 

Kids Section – 9 Competitions (Solo).

*Competitions cannot be witnessed by the Parents & *Rasikas

 

KadhambaNadanam – Max. 3mins. (1Tamizh Song only)

Light Classical Dance, Kurathi, Kummi, Karagam, Kaavadi, Paambhu, Mayil etc.

Participant must bring only 1 Song in 1 Audio CD / Pen drive for the performance.

Multiple Tracks CD will not be entertained. Video DVD / VCD not allowed.

Audio system will be provided. Dance Costume and Make-up mandatory.

BhakthiPaadal – Max. 3mins. (1 Tamizh Song only)

BharatiyarPaadal – Max. 3mins. (1 Song of your choice)

MangalaPorutkalKolam (Kolam using Auspicious Props) – Max.45mins. Use Chalk-piece for outline & fill with Auspicious Props – Real Flowers, Leaves, Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts and other Pooja Elements.

(Size 2ft X 2ft Box) Bring all materials.

KaagithaKalai (Origami) – Max. 30mins. Use Paper / Chart. Bring all materials.

Minimum 1 item must be made within the given time. No pre-fabricated materials allowed.

Oviyam – Max. 30mins. (Only Colouring) Bring Colour Pencils / Crayons to fill Colours in an

Outline Drawing given by us.

PaappaaPaattu (Tamizh Rhymes) – Max.3mins. No Props.

KadhaiyumKaruthum (Tamizh) – Max. 3mins. ThaathaaPaattiSonnaKadhaiKadhaiyaamKaaranamaam –தாத்தா பாட்டி சொன்ன கதை கதையாம் காரணமாம். No Props.

Maaruvedam (Fancy Dress) (Tamizh) – Max. 2mins. Topic: UravugalinKadhapaathirangal (Koottukudithanam / Thanikudithanam) – உறவுகளின் கதாபாத்திரங்கள் (கூட்டுகுடித்தனம்  / தனிக்குடித்தனம்). Props allowed, No Backdrops.

 

All Levels– 18 Competitions (Solo).

*Competitions cannot be witnessed by the Parents & *Rasikas

 

Category 1 – Performing Arts:-

KadhambaNadanam – Max. 3mins. (1 Tamizh Song only)

BharatiyarPaadal – Max. 3mins. (1 Song of your choice)

Thevaaram – Max. 3mins. (1 Song of your choice)

Thirupugazh – Max. 3mins. (1 Song of your choice)

Participants must bring their own Sruti Box with Batteries for all Vocal Music Competitions.

Vaadhya Isai – Max. 3mins. (Any Instrument / 1 Tamizh Song / Devotional)

No Film Song. Bring Keyboard with Batteries.

 

Category 2 – Fine Arts:-

MangalaPorutkalKolam (Kolam using Auspicious Props) – Max.1Hr. Use Chalk-piece for outline & fill with Auspicious Props – Real Flowers, Leaves, Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts and other Pooja Elements.

(Size 2ft X 2ft Box) Bring all materials.

Poo Thodutthal – Max. 30mins. Bring Real Flowers & String (Sub.Jr. alone Needle & Thread allowed).

No pre-fabrication.

KaagithaKalai (Origami) – Max. 30mins. Use Paper / Chart. Bring all materials.

Minimum 1 item must be made within the given time. No pre-fabricated materials allowed.

VaazhtthuMadal (Greeting Card) – Max. 45mins. Bring all materials. Can be created with any material, Should be Creative / Innovative / Artistic. Only 1 Card must be made within the given time.

No pre-fabricated materials allowed.

Oviyam – Max. 1 Hr. Topic: GraamamumNagaramum – கிராமமும் நகரமும்.

Chart alone will be provided by us. (Chart Size A4 = 21 x 29.7cm). Bring all other Materials.

Can use Colour Pencils / Crayons / Water / Poster Colours / Oil Pastel / Sketch Pens.

KaivinaiPorul – Max. 1½ Hrs. Topic: KalyanaSeervarisai – கல்யாண சீர்வரிசை. Bring all materials.

Minimum 1 item must be made within the given time. No pre-fabricated materials allowed.

 

Category 3 – Academic Arts:-

KaiyezhuthuPotti (Tamizh) – Max. 30mins. Content & Ruled Paper will be provided.

Sub. Junior – Sec.A – 4 line Paper. Bring Writing Pad, Pencil.

Sub. Junior – Sec.B / Junior / Senior – Pen & Paper. Bring Writing Pad, Pencil, Pen etc.

KatturaiPotti (Tamizh) – Max. 1Hr. Topic: KudumbamOruKadhambam – குடும்பம் ஒரு கதம்பம்.

Min. 250 words. Ruled Paper alone will be provided. Bring Writing Pad, Pencil, Pen etc.

PetchuPotti (Tamizh) – Max. 3mins. Topic: ThaayirSirandhaKovilumillai – ThandhaiSolmikkaMandhiramillai - தாயிற் சிறந்த கோவிலும் இல்லை  தந்தை சொல்மிக்க மந்திரம் இல்லை. No Props.

KadhaiyumKaruthum (Tamizh) – Max. 3mins. Topic: ThaathaaPaattiSonnaKadhaiKadhaiyaamKaaranamaam – தாத்தா பாட்டி சொன்ன கதை கதையாம் காரணமாம். No Props.

All Levels:-

Talent Prize – Enroll in any 6 Competitions & Win in Min. 3 Competitions within First 3 Prize levels.

Multi Talent Prize – Enroll in Min. 9 Competitions with Min. 3 under each Category &
Win in Min. 6 Competitions. (Min. of 2 Prizes from each Category within First 3 Prize levels).

Proficiency Prize – Enroll in Min. 12 Competitions from All 3 Categories &
Win in Min. 9 Competitions. (Min. of 6 Prizes within First 3 Prize levels & Min. 3 Consolation Prize

will be considered for this segment).

Outstanding Prize – Enroll in All Competitions & Win in All Competitions within First 3 Prize levels.

 

A Gold-Coated Rolling Trophy* “PORTTRAMARAI” in the name of “Sri SumukhiRajasekharan”, is awarded to the institution for large participation. (above 100 Registrations). Conditions apply*
